WhO IS PEGGY?
Peggy's an archetype.
Peggy represents the woman who doesn’t fit neatly into the default version of life. She might be a mother, single, partnered, starting over, or somewhere in between, but she lives in a way that feels true to her, not expected of her.
Peggy chooses curiosity over comfort. She tries things before she’s ready. She values adventure, movement, and community, and she understands that life is short and she pays attention.
She wakes up from autopilot.
She steps out of the prescribed path.
She says yes to colour, experience, and being fully alive.
Peggy lives with intention. She moves her body. She spends time in the ocean. She builds a life that feels expansive, even when it’s imperfect. She doesn’t wait for permission to begin.
Peggy & The Sea exists for women who recognise her because they already are her.

About the Founder
Born and raised in San Diego in the 90s (peak era), I grew up skipping class to surf and hanging around the beach. I left the States young to travel, until I eventually ended up in Australia.
I spent seven years in Port Douglas with a little boat and a 15-minute “commute” to the Great Barrier Reef. I’d spend whole days messing around on sandbars, diving, exploring, and I regret not filming any of it. So when I moved to Noosa, I picked up a camera and started surf photography.
One thing led to another, and I landed my first surf photography job in India (yes, there's surf). That turned into a few years of shooting around the world until COVID shut everything down.
When my opportunities stopped, I put the camera down and went to uni for marine biology, thinking I’d eventually start a serious marine biology business. But turns out, I'm not that serious, and my real job was never about one thing. It is a combination of all the weird skills and saltwater obsessions I’ve collected along the way.
And that’s how Peggy was reborn, not from a plan, but from a life that wouldn’t shut up about the sea.

Our Mission
Peggy exists for women who are building their lives on their own terms, not perfectly, but with curiosity, courage, and a willingness to try what pulls at them.
Becoming a mother sharpened this for me. I saw how easily women disappear inside full lives, not because they lack ambition, but because responsibility multiplies. Work, children, relationships, expectations. There’s always something that comes first.
Peggy is a reminder that life doesn’t pause while you’re holding everything together. You don’t need permission to take up space, learn something new, chase waves, or choose curiosity over comfort.
We’re here to make room for that. For women to move, create, and keep choosing themselves alongside everything else they carry.

THIRD SPACE
The term third space was first coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg.
He found that most adults only move between two places- home and work, with no third space in between.
And when that “in between” is missing, people get lonelier and more disconnected.
Oldenburg described third spaces as the places where people actually feel human again, like cafés, clubs, events, and creative circles.
Spaces that aren’t about productivity or responsibility, but about belonging.
And right now, especially for women and mothers, that third place is disappearing.
Peggy is that third space.
A safe place to land.
A space to bring your kids or come alone.
A welcoming community where you’re allowed to learn, create, move, rest, and remember what lights you up without needing to explain yourself.
